Castaic and Val Verde: Zone 2

Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for the week of 9/7/2015 – 9/13/2015

The following crimes were reported in Zone 2, Castaic/Val Verde:

A stolen vehicle was reported from the 31000 block of Quartz Lane. The victim reported his 1991 blue Harley Davidson FXSTC was stolen from the garage at his residence. The vehicle was taken on September 11, 2015 at 1:30 pm.

A theft was reported from the 29000 block of Hunstock Avenue. The victim reported that an Apple I-Phone was stolen from her unlocked vehicle. The crime occurred between September 4, 2015 – September 7, 2015.

An assault was reported from the 31000 block of The Old Road. The victim reported being attacked by a male and female suspect. The suspect(s) exited their vehicle and punched the victim numerous times, at one point the male suspect grabbed a tree branch and struck the victim on top of his head. The victim said the suspect(s) then entered their vehicle struck him with the car in an attempt to run him over. During the incident, the victim said both suspects were yelling racist comments towards him. The victim said the incident was unprovoked.

Please remember to never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle, close and lock your doors. Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity.
