Canyon Country East: Zone 8
Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for the week of 09/07/2015 to 09/13/2015
This past week in Zone 8, the following Part-1 Crimes are currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives:
A robbery occurred near the 19300 block of Golden Valley Road. One suspect was arrested after he threatened the victim with force when stealing her backpack. After taking the victim’s backpack, he fled in a vehicle and was later caught by deputy personnel near the Sylmar area.
A residential burglary occurred near the 14800 block of Raquel Lane. Person(s) unknown shattered the rear sliding glass door to the victim’s residence and attempted to steal a firearm from within a gun safe. The safe’s handle broke off, however no entry was ever made into the safe.
An attempt residential burglary occurred near the 29000 block of Poppy Meadow Street. A male black adult rang the doorbell to the victim’s residence three to four times. When the victim did not answer the door, the suspect walked to backyard and began removing a window screen. The victim yelled at the suspect from within her house and the suspect ran away and out of view.
A grand theft auto occurred near the 28900 block of Prairie Lane. Person(s) unknown stole the victim’s vehicle which was parked at the above location.
