Snapshot for 02-11-2013 to 02-17-2013
Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit

Last week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:

(2) Residential Burglaries, (1) Commercial Burglary, (1) Vehicle Burglary, (1) Theft from an Unlocked Vehicle, (2) Grand Thefts, (2) Petty Theft and (3) GTA’s.

On Thursday, 02/14/2013, two residential burglaries occurred near the 26900 block of Flo Lane. Unknown suspects broke into two separate garages and took items from unlocked vehicles. The investigations for both cases are on-going.

A commercial burglary occurred near the 26900 block of Golden Valley Road. A male suspect shattered the front glass door of the business with a rock and began rifling through display items. The owner, who was sleeping in the rear of the business, came out and attempted to detain the suspect, however the suspect was able to flee the location prior to the arrival of deputy personnel.

A vehicle burglary occurred near the 20700 block of Centre Pointe Parkway. An unknown suspect punched the lock of the driver side door in order to gain entry into the vehicle. Although the interior of the vehicle was ransacked, it was undetermined at the time of the report, if anything was taken.

There was a grand theft that occurred near the 17200 block of Sierra Highway, in which several pieces of scaffolding were taken from a storage yard.

Two vehicles (a 1996 Honda Civic and a 2001 Toyota Corolla) were taken near the 27200 block of Camp Plenty Road.

There were many arrests made last week in Zone 7. Arrest charges included narcotics, receiving stolen property, petty theft and battery.
