A damaged pipe spewed water onto McBean Parkway late Monday night creating a mess in front of Henry Mayo Memorial Hospital in Santa Clarita.
Around 11:20 p.m. the Los Angeles County Fire Department got a call about a broken pipe on the 23000 block of McBean Parkway between Avenida Navarre and Orchard Village Road.
Water was reportedly flowing from a broken service line that goes from the main line to the hospital, according to Valencia Water Company.
The pipe was broken by a tree.
“We got a call at 11:45 last night and the water was turned off at 12:15 or 12:30 so we still need to calculate water loss,” said Chris Perez, operations manager at Valencia Water Company.
The broken pipe did not affect the hospital and is in the process of being repaired.
