The 2017 California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section Football Pre-Season Rankings have been released and a local team finds itself at the top of its division.

According to the polls, Saugus High School is the team to watch in Division 6, where it is ranked No. 1, with Golden Valley close behind at No. 3.

Other notables were Valencia High School with a No. 4 ranking in Division 2, while Hart High School’s football team came in at No. 8 in Division 3.

West Ranch High School also broke the Top 10 of their division (9) with a No. 7 rank.

There are 13 divisions within the Southern Section of the CIF, which currently serves 145 school districts.
