Be aware. Don’t get too occupied with your smartphones or cell phones. Every day I see people walking down streets or sidewalks, or driving while playing on their phones. I know that checking your phone can be addictive, but when you’re focused on your phone, that means you’re not focused on your purse, your surroundings, your children, or your general safety and well-being.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Why is scv going south where are the old days where kids can play outside with there neighbors.
I see kids playing outside everyday in Parks, streets, bike path, boy n girls club, cc community center, riding bikes, scooters, skateboard, swimming…ECT
If that’s the case why doesn’t sctv make a story about that.
I guess it’s just rare to see people outside because everyone is afraid of ridiculous crimes scv is a great town. People just need to step back from technology and observe the outdoors.
They still can and do! We live in a very quiet area…nothing ever happens around here.
It always EAST SCV.very quiet on west side
It always EAST SCV.very quiet on west side
We moved here in 66. Kids played outside every day til dark, weather permitting. But, they didn’t have phones,TV in their rooms, game machines. They did have basketballs, bikes, skates, badminton and Croquet.Hard to do this stuff inside.
Agree times were different in the sixties but I see kids playing outside everyday in Parks, streets, bike path, boy n girls club, cc community center, riding bikes, scooters, skateboard, swimming…ECT
Santa Clarita might have changed a bit but still one of the safest city’s compared to los Angeles, Palmdale, Compton and the valley
I remember when we had no technology week and we played till the lights turned on outside.
That’s right Eileen. I still see kids out too. We are one of the 10 safest. I don’t understand the negative comments on Facebook from so many unappreciative residents. Only horses are tied. They don’t love it here, they should leave it. North Hollywood, van nuys, or woodland hills. They’d welcome them.lol
I am very disappointed in the change in Santa Clarita since I’ve been living here.
I’ve been there since the 90’s things change it’s on the residents if it for the better or worst
Oh good lord Alex….take an English class.
The comment about no one is tied here reminded me of when I worked at Henry Mayo in the 80’s. My supervisors came back from a meeting with Administration questioning some changes that were not for the better. The response to them (Hence, Us) was; “There are no fences around Henry Mayo!” 8-)
This has to be fake somekind of insurance scam, there’s no way someone’s that stupid!!

Santa Clarita has changed since every available square foot of land has been developed and housing crammed into every inch of the valley.
I lived there 1990 to 2000. It was beautiful when we moved there, getting too crowded when I left. Now when I visit, it just makes my heart ache to see what developers have done to the valley.
With more people, come more crime. No one knows the people on their blocks any longer, there has been a proliferation of gangs and crime. Costs of living there are out of sight. You get what you allow into your community.
Technically, not yet (“housing crammed into every inch of the valley”). Build-out is projected to take another 20 years.
