In an all-time record for the university, 11,627 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree candidates are eligible to graduate from California State University, Northridge this year.
CSUN’s graduation celebration begins the evening of Saturday, May 11, with the university’s Honors Convocation, and concludes the evening of Monday, May 20, with the last of CSUN’s seven commencement ceremonies. All eight ceremonies will take place on the lawn in front of the university’s iconic Delmar T. Oviatt Library, located at the heart of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge.
“Commencement is always an inspiring time at the university,” said CSUN President Dianne F. Harrison. “It is a reaffirmation of the life-changing opportunities that education provides and a celebration of the achievements of our students. It is also a time when family and friends get a chance to acknowledge and applaud all that their loved ones have accomplished to earn their degrees.
“Honors Convocation and the commencement ceremonies give CSUN the formal setting to celebrate our students before they take the next steps toward their future, and join the more than 360,000 Matador alumni who are elevating our region and beyond,” she said.
