[KHTS] – SCV Scene for November 24, 2013

It’s been a chilly, blustery few days! I love this weather! It just feels right for the season! Speaking of the holidays… Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels to everyone heading out of town to be with loved ones! Enjoy the turkey, but cherish your friends and family even more.

Speaking of holidays…

Hanukkah 2013 begins the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 27. It’s a once in more than 70,000-year event: The first day of Hanukkah this year coincides with Thanksgiving. The eight-day celebration of Hanukkah celebrates the triumph of Jewish warriors called maccabees over their Seleucid occupiers more than 2,000 years ago. Hanukkah Sameach!

Magic of the Lights Gala

Saturday night’s Magic of the Lights Gala was a wonderful evening of fun, beautiful trees and fantastic fundraising! The hors d’oeuvres and desserts from Wolf Creek Restaurant and Brewing Co. were spectacular! I really enjoyed the pumpkin pie squares and the little peppermint chocolate cups! Yum!
