Catherine Francisco, MS, Clinical Integration Coordinator at Henry Mayo Fitness and Health, received the 2018 West Region Rising Star Award from the Medical Fitness Association at the association’s annual conference on Nov. 8 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Rising Star Award program recognizes outstanding individual achievement and significant leadership within the medical fitness community. In order to be considered for the award, nominees should:
– Continually exceed performance expectations.
– Make and implement procedural and budgetary recommendations, participates in the planning and delivery process.
– Actively pursue personal, professional, intellectual and continuing education growth opportunities.
– Demonstrate exemplary interest in medical fitness clients and profession, and strives for promotion to the next level of responsibility within their organization/field.
According to Robert D. Boone, FACHE, FMFA, President and CEO of the Medical Fitness Association, “The Rising Star award recognizes outstanding achievement and contributions from an early to mid-career exercise professional. Historically, Rising Star award recipients have gone on to become future leaders within the Medical Fitness industry. We are proud of Catherine Francisco for being named the West Region award winner by her peers and look forward to following her career as she continues to develop as a leader.”
The Medical Fitness Association, a non-profit organization, was formed in 1991 to assist medically integrated health and fitness centers achieve their full potential. It provides industry standards, educational programs, benchmarks, outcome measurements, professional development and networking opportunities for the medical fitness industry.
