NEW WORKSHOPS
Demystifying the Community College Employment Process – Thursday, December 12th from 1:30-3:30. If you’ve ever considered employment at a community college, especially at College of the Canyons, you won’t want to miss this workshop. It is a collaborative effort between COC’s WorkSource, Career Services and Human Resource department. The workshop will be part presentation and part panel discussion with time to ask any burning questions you may have about landing a job in a community college. This is your place for the inside scoop.
Social Media for Job Search Workshop – Friday, December 13th from 9:00-11:00 a.m.
A brand new workshop for the WorkSource to help get you up to speed on how to use social media in your job search. The workshop will cover using LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter for job search plus much, much more. You will learn how to navigate through the various social media tools the internet has to offer, more easily connect to the individuals doing the hiring, and learn about job openings even before the general public. Make sure you reserve your seat.

Manufacturing Assembler & Test Technician Training Program Orientation – Monday, December 16th at 9 a.m. If you’ve been looking for a fresh start in 2014 and would like to pursue a career in Biomedical Device, Aerospace, or Hi-Tech Manufacturing, you’ll definitely want to join us for this all day Specialized Recruitment & Eligibility Event. The Employee Training Institute at College of the Canyons has partnered with local employers to ensure that the program is designed to include the specific skills employers need to fill their open and upcoming positions. The training will be paid for in full for eligible students selected to participate.
