The Saugus Union School District Board of Trustees will conduct a Special Meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 21, to focus on the district’s search for a new superintendent.

The public meeting will be held at the Saugus District Education Center, 24930 Avenue Stanford, Santa Clarita, CA 91355 at 6:30 p.m.

Items on the agenda include superintendent search information presentations and a discussion and approval of a superintendent search firm from the following search firms:

Education Support Services Group — Dr. Steven Keller and Kelli Moors

Leadership Associates — Dr. Marc Ecker and Dr. Blanca G. Cavazos

McPherson & Jacobson — Ben Johnson and Dr. Penelope DeLeon

Discuss and Approve Superintendent Search Firm

The current SUSD superintendent, Dr. Colleen Hawkins has announced her intent to retire from the district on July 1, 2026.
