The Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation, in collaboration with the Friends of Hart Park, will open its 7th Annual free “Summer Movies in the Park” series at William S. Hart Regional Park with a screening of the Oscar-winning Disney-Pixar film “Coco” on Friday, July 13 starting at dusk.
“Jumanji – Welcome to the Jungle” will screen on Friday, August 3, and “Black Panther” on Friday, August 17.
Admission is free. Blankets, pillows, lawn chairs and pets on leashes are permitted. Unleashed animals, smoking and alcohol are prohibited in the park at all times.
Food, snack and craft vendors will be available.
Screenings are held in the Picnic Area at William S. Hart Regional Park, 24151 Newhall Avenue, Newhall 91321.
CalArts grad Adrian Molina picked up an Oscar for “Best Animated Feature” for “Coco” in the 90th annual Academy Awards ceremony telecast in March.
“Coco” also scored the “Best Original Song” Oscar for “Remember Me,” music and lyric by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.
