REDDING, Calif.— On Tuesday, The Master’s College men’s golf team finished first out of a field of 10 competitors while carding a score of 938 (314-316-308) at the CAL PAC/GSAC Conference Championship.
The 23rd-ranked Mustangs continued their dominance of the CAL PAC/GSAC by beating second-place finisher Embry-Riddle (AZ) by four strokes.
Joseph Downey (Santa Clarita, CA) tied for first-place individually, carding a score of 226 (73-78-75).
Not far behind were Samuel Eisenhuth (Embarras, MN) and Joshua Gardella (Littleton, CO) who finished fifth and sixth, respectively. Eisenhuth carded a score of 238 (79-83-76) while Gardella had a score of 239 (79-84-76).
Joshua Delo (Mesa, AZ) finished with a score of 241 (84-76-81) and tied for 10th-place. Close behind was Hayden Nicholaides (Englewood, CO) who finished with a score of 248 (83-79-86).
Now, TMC advances to the NAIA National Championship Tournament at Daytona Beach, Florida, held May 19-22. Notably, it is TMC’s first time at the national tournament since 2012.
