VIA is pleased to announce the November luncheon meeting will provide an overview of the 2013 VIA Leadership Program which was just completed, and will include a chance for attendees to hear the caliber of speakers the program attracts.
Noelia Rodriguez, former press secretary to First Lady Laura Bush, will talk about her career and some of the leadership lessons she’s learned along the way.
Currently chief communications officer for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Rodriguez is the immediate past director of the John F. Kennedy Forum at Harvard University. Having started her career with Southern California Edison, she was deputy mayor for Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan, as well as president and CEO of LA 2000, the host committee for the Democratic National Convention.
The luncheon program will also include presentations from members of the 2013 Leadership Program, sharing some of the lessons they’ve learned over the course of seven months. Topics include ethics, managing meetings, work/life balance and more. The program also features a team project focused on team building, personal development and conducting research to help improve VIA.
