Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit
Proactive deputies from the Santa Clarita Special Assignment Team (SAT) ran a license plate on vehicle that was driving on Shelter Cove. The deputies discovered that the vehicle was stolen from the Redondo Beach area. The deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and arrested the driver for the theft of the vehicle.
There was a grand theft auto was reported from the 27400 block of Onlee Avenue. The victim’s 1997 green Toyota Corolla was stolen from the location. The vehicle was later recovered in the Devonshire area.
A petty theft occurred from the 26550 block of Bouquet Canyon Road. The suspect entered a store and selected several hair care items and then fled the location.
An unknown suspect stole copper wire from a light pole near the 26500 block of Bouquet Canyon Road.
An assault with a deadly weapon occurred from the 26800 block of Bouquet Canyon Road. As the victim exited the bar he was assaulted by two males. The victim said he did not know the suspects.
We have seen several theft from vehicles in the last few weeks. Most of these incidents could have been avoided if the victim had locked their car doors and removed valuable items from their vehicles. Please remember to lock your car doors to avoid becoming a victim of a property crime.
