Air quality will again be unhealthy for sensitive individuals in the Santa Clarita Valley on Saturday, according to the latest air quality alert from the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
Saturday’s alert also warns of unhealthy air for all individuals in the West San Gabriel Valley, and for sensitive individuals in the East San Fernando Valley, East San Gabriel Valley, Pomona/Walnut Valley and San Gabriel Mountains.
Triple-digit temperatures are also forecast for the weekend
Los Angeles County Health Officer Muntu Davis, MD, MPH, advises people living or working in these areas with heart disease, asthma or other respiratory diseases to minimize outdoor activities.
Children who have sensitive conditions, including heart disease, asthma and other chronic respiratory diseases, should not participate in outdoor physical activity at schools, camps and other recreational programs and should stay indoors as much as possible.
