2012 Olympic silver medalist Lashinda Demus stopped by the SCVTV studios Wednesday to tape an appearance on “SCV Today” – the morning television show for Santa Clarita.
On the program, Demus talked about her time in London, the 400-meter hurdles in which she came up 7/100s of a second out of the gold, and her twin five-year-old boys who have become famous for their “Go Mommy” cheers from inside the Olympic stadium.
“I went to the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and I was a little baby and didn’t know how to handle what was going on,” Demus said on the show. “But this time I was able to actually stand still and let it all soak in and be a part of this whole world event.”
The show will air Thursday, August 30, at 8 a.m. and repeat at 2 p.m. Those show times are also good for Friday, August 31.
Demus also taped an episode of “Newsmaker of the Week.” The 30-minute interview can be seen on Thursday at 9 p.m., repeating Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
