Valencia Pharmacy staffers are celebrating a grand reopening Monday, June 1, at a brand new location on Peachland Avenue by putting their entire store on sale, with 25 percent off wellness center products, medical supplies and pharmacy items.

“There are restrictions, but for the most part, we’ve put our entire facility on sale for 25 percent off to say thank you for supporting us over all these years,” said Fred Elam, the pharmacy’s general manager.

Established in 1974, Valencia Pharmacy is an independently owned business run by a staff that prides themselves on offering personal customer service to the community.

“We like to treat our customers like friends and family,” Elam said. “A lot of customers have been coming to us for two generations– we’re seeing grandchildren from people that were coming to us when they were children with their parents… A lot of our customers come in and we know them on a first-name basis. We don’t believe you’d find that in the big box stores around town.”

As Santa Clarita’s first compounding pharmacy, those who need specialized medications for both human and veterinary purposes can come to Valencia Pharmacy for help.

“If you have a kitty or a dog that needs medication and you have a difficult time giving it to them, we’ll flavor that medicine for your pup to taste like a beef chew, and it makes the medicine go down much better,” Elam said.

In addition, Valencia Pharmacy offers a holistic wellness center, full-service medical supply shop and a wide variety of services, including flu shots and travel vaccinations.

Seniors living in an assisted care facility can now fill their prescriptions using Kaiser at Valencia Pharmacy, and staff even delivers medications free to seniors six days a week.

“Over the years we’ve been very committed to our senior citizens in the valley,” Elam said, “and we offer them free delivery six days a week.”
