The community is invited to attend a meeting to help determine where future county library in Stevenson Ranch should be located.

On Wednesday, Oct. 5, the West Ranch Town Council  and the County of Los Angeles Public Library will hold the third in a series of “needs assessment” meetings to hear from local community members about the new library.  The primary purpose of the meeting is to review possible locations for the new library.  The community is invited to help create a vision for library services in the Stevenson Ranch, Southern Oaks, Westridge and Sunset Pointe communities.

The Stevenson Ranch community meeting will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the multipurpose room at Rancho Pico Junior High School, 26250 Valencia Blvd.   For information about the meeting,  visit Vision91381.org.

The County of Los Angeles Public Library currently provides services from the Stevenson Ranch Express Library at Dr. Richard H. Rioux Memorial Park, 26233 W. Faulkner Drive. At this interim express library, county residents can sign up for a library card, place and pick up holds on books and materials, return library materials, and browse from a small collection of books, DVD, music and audio books.  The express library is open Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.  It is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
