Zone 4 Snapshot: 06/25/12-07/01/12
This week there were two residential burglaries in Saugus. One was from the 21800 block of Jeffers Lane. Person(s) unknown entered through the unlocked front door, while no one was home, and stole jewelry.
The burglary occurred between 12:45 pm and 1:30 pm. The second burglary occurred from the 27900 block of Pinebank Dr. A male in a dark Ford Fiesta was seen leaving the vacant house at approximately 5:30 am. Deputies checked the house and determined that the stove had been stolen. Neither the suspect nor the vehicle were located.
There was a noteworthy arrest on July 1st. Deputies responded to a vehicle burglary, in progress, near the corner of Bud Ct/Alaminos Dr. The witness had seen a male entering numerous vehicles on the street. Once Deputies responded they detained the male and determined that he was responsible for at least two vehicle burglaries that night. This as a great example of how the community is assisting with policing their neighborhood. Without the help of the alert resident this could have been a crime that went unsolved.
