The Santa Clarita Valley Education Foundation will hold its first-ever “Rally for Education” tennis tournament Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Paseo Club – and it’s not too early to sign up. Players will get to show off their skills – or lack thereof – in a round-robin game from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Levels are as follows:
Pro – Can hit the ball and run at the same time.
Intermediate – Can hit the ball.
Amateur – Can hold the raquet and swing.
A reception will follow to acknowledge the winners with trophies and honor all players with swag bags. Entrance fee ($75 for players, $25 for reception only) includes two drink tickets and appetizers.
Only 48 spots will be held for players, who must be 18 or older. To register visit www.scveducationfoundation.org.
The SCV Education Foundation is a 501c3 nonproft organization that sponsors several annual events – SCV Literacy and Arts Festival, Teacher Tribute, Principal for a Day – to foster and support excellence in education for students in the Santa Clarita Valley. Every year the foundation awards scholarships and provides enrichment and reading programs for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
