citylogo_sealThe city of Santa Clarita is now accepting bids from contractors interested in performing the necessary work to improve vehicular and bus riders’ access to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia.

The bulk of the work involves lengthening the left-hand turn pocket on northbound McBean Parkway at Avenida Navarre (for vehicular access to the hospital parking lot), and adding a concrete bus turnout. The project also includes landscaping and irrigation.

The estimated cost is $225,000. Bids are due by Feb. 7.
