My name is Deputy Rubalcava and I am the new Zone Leader for Canyon Country East. I will be providing regular updates to the residents regarding crime and public safety related concerns in Zone 8.

This week in Canyon Country East we had 13 Part-1 crimes. Of those crimes, there were 3 residential burglaries, 1 commercial burglary, 6 larcenies, and 3 vehicle burglaries.

A residential burglary occurred in the 27900 block of Solamint Road. Electronics were stolen from the home and there was no sign of forced entry. A residential burglary occurred in the 18100 block of Sundowner Way. Unknown suspect(s) entered the apartment after the victim walked her dog and while her 15 year-old son was sleeping in the bedroom. Personal items were stolen. A residential burglary occurred in the 17900 block of Maplehurst Place. Entrance was made by breaking a window and electronics were stolen.

A commercial burglary occurred at the Target store. A male and female entered the location on two separate occasions, used a tool to remove the security device from electronics and fled.

A wallet was stolen after it was left behind at the Target store. A theft from an unlocked vehicle occurred in the 26500 block of Hutswood Lane. Tools and other equipment were stolen from a business located in the 25000 block of Sand Canyon Road. Vehicle burglaries occurred in the 25900 block of Silver Saddle Circle, the 29500 block of Poppy Meadow Street, and the 18200 block of Soledad Canyon Road.

Always LOCK your vehicles and DO NOT LEAVE PERSONAL ITEMS VISIBLE! If you see any suspicious activity either close to your home or while you are out shopping, call the Sheriff’s station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.
