Current business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs who would like to learn how to comply with California’s often complex tax laws are invited to attend the free Santa Clarita Small Business Tax Seminar and Resource Expo on Monday, Sept. 28.
“Small businesses play a vital role in keeping California’s economy strong,” said Board of Equalization Vice Chair George Runner. “Our goal is to help business owners be successful by ensuring they understand California’s complicated tax laws.”
Vice Chair George Runner is sponsoring this event, along with Senator Sharon Runner, Assemblyman Scott Wilk, Assemblyman Tom Lackey, Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Mayor Michael D. Antonovich, the City of Santa Clarita, and Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Those looking for assistance with state tax laws, as well as those who want to expand their business knowledge, will benefit from presentations on topics like common sales and use tax problems, recordkeeping, forms of ownership, and social media marketing.
