A heat advisory has been issued for the Santa Clarita Valley from now through Tuesday night at 10, according to National Weather Service officials.
The L.A. County Department of Public Health has also issued a heat advisory for Wednesday in the SCV.
This week’s temperatures are forecast to reach the mid-to-high 90s, and there’s a chance of thunder.
Monday’s high is forecast at 96 degrees with a low around 71, Tuesday has a high of 97 and a low of around 74, Wednesday has a high of 95 and low of 74, Thursday with a high of 96 and a low of 72 and Friday has a high of 95 with a low of 72, according to the NWS.
Along with the mostly sunny and hot summer days, the NWS has also projected a small chance of showers and a 20 percent possibility of thunderstorms throughout the week.
