Saugus, Zone 4 Update

This week in Saugus we had four reported Part-1 crimes. There was an attempt grand theft in the 27700 block of Borage Court on Friday, 06/28/13, at approximately 2:00 AM. The victim awoke to a noise along the side of his residence. When he went outside he discovered two males attempting to steal the air conditioning unit. The suspects fled the location.

There was a vehicle burglary at the Metrolink Station located at 22122 Soledad Canyon Road on Wednesday, 06/26/13. Upon arriving back at her vehicle, the victim discovered her passenger window was smashed and miscellaneous items were taken.

There was a petty theft which occurred sometime within the past month in the 22100 block of Pamplico Drive. The victim stated that his roommate stole personal items from his residence before moving out. Detectives are following up on this incident.

There was an assault/domestic violence in the 22500 block of Fenwall Drive on Monday, 06/24/13. Deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call. Deputies learned that a female attempted to stab a male during an argument. Deputies later arrested a female for assault with a deadly weapon and a male for domestic violence. The investigation is ongoing and being handled by detectives.

There were multiple arrests over the past week in Saugus. The one which stands out occurred early Thursday morning, 06/27/13, in the 21100 block of Altena Drive. CPU Deputies conducting a 24 hour operation located a known probationer, Lisa Lepore, who was standing outside her residence near the open doorway. Deputies contacted Ms. Lepore and, during a probation search of the immediate area, located methamphetamine. Ms. Lepore was subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
