QuickBooks Boot Camp

In this day long workshop, participants will learn how to set up their company file from scratch; how to create a quality chart of accounts; how to create new vendors, customer, items and accounts. You will also learn how to pay bills, invoice customers, receive payments, make deposits and reconcile bank accounts. An introduction to the report center will be covered, including how to create a Profit & Loss Statement and a Balance Sheet. Ideal for business owners, office managers, and bookkeepers who are brand new to QuickBooks, as well as, existing users who would like some formal education in one of these QuickBooks features. Please note that there will be a one hour lunch break (lunch not provided).

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Application Workshop

Are you a small business owner looking to grow your company and improve your skills in business negotiations, marketing, accounting, and people management?  The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program is a short-term, high impact practical education program that offers customized business advising, peer interaction with other business owners, and the opportunity to access financial capital. If selected, participants receive a scholarship and attend at no cost.  Invest in yourself and your business today.

Who should apply:

  • Owners or Co-Owners of a Small Business
  • Businesses in operation for at least 2 years
  • Businesses with revenues between $150,000 and $4 million in the most recent fiscal year
  • Businesses with a minimum of 4 employees (including owner, co-owner, part-time and contractors)
