Mahowa Earns Weekly GSAC Honor
On the heels of a three-goal week, TMU’s Humphrey Mahowa has been named the GSAC Offensive Player of the Week. It’s the second time in 2016 Mahowa has earned the weekly honor.
The two-time All-GSAC and All-American performer started the week with the game-tying and game-winning goals in a 2-1 victory against William Jessup last Thursday.
Two days later, the Malawi, Africa native scored the final goal in the Mustangs’ 3-0 win over No. 20 Menlo.
With two matches (vs. Westmont on Wednesday and at Vanguard on Saturday) left in the regular season, Mahowa has posted career-highs of 14 goals and 32 points, marks that are second-best in the GSAC.
