Santa Clarita’s own Kelsey Lien, winner of the Baskin-Robbins’ Second Annual Online Flavor Creation Contest, previewed her winning flavor, “Nutty Cream Cheese Brownie,” at the State of the City luncheon Oct. 18.
To help celebrate the 25th anniversary of Santa Clarita, Kelsey sampled her flavor with members of the community including Mayor Frank Ferry.
Lien’s “Nutty Cream Cheese Brownie” – a flavorful combination of chocolate fudge ice cream swirled with a cream cheese ribbon, combined with walnuts and fudge brownie piece – will be featured nationwide as the November 2012 Flavor of the Month.
A Hart High graduate, Lien is studying economics and public health at the University of California, Irvine.
“‘Nutty Cream Cheese Brownie’ was inspired by my love of baking and is meant to bring family, friends and loved ones together to enjoy a modern twist on the traditional brownie,” Lien said when her winning entry was selected in February. “I’m very excited to share my flavor creation with ice cream lovers everywhere when it debuts this November in Baskin-Robbins stores nationwide.”
