Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’’s Station officials are investigating a burglary Thursday night at Cedarcreek Elementary School, Sheriff’s Lt. Mark Hershey said.
“They stole 30 laptop computers and, apparently, they cost $300 each, so it’s about a $9,000 loss,” Hershey said.
After investigators received the report this morning, deputies fingerprinted the scene at the Canyon Country elementary and also are asking for help from the community in solving the crime.
“If you know somebody who has a whole lot of computers that they didn’t have yesterday or if you see anyone selling anything suspicious or without receipts, please call the police,” Hershey said.
Cedarcreek is a California Distinguished School in the Saugus Union School District.
Those who might have information about the crime are asked to call 661-255-1121.
