Slow down!!!!
This is the 2nd big accident on this road in less than what, 2 weeks? Drive slower, people. The many crosses dotting San Fran should serve as a very real reminder that it’s better to be late than dead. I drive this route near daily and I never underestimate its risks. :/
This road is getting crazy!!!
Wow two weeks in a row that there are accidents on this road…
Stupid people
Hope everyone is okay :'( Too many funerals from that stretch of pavement. Drive safe my friends.
Melissa Jason just posted that another accident just happened right now on San Fran near GV! I hope everyone is okay!
Kristen Kilanowski Steinmann, Did you hear about this one this morning?
People drive crazy fast on San Fran and pass double yellow all the time
I crashed there 5 years ago. Still get nervous driving through there.
I won’t go down that road unless I absolutely have to. I crashed and almost died from someone turning the curve speeding almost 4 yrs ago. Something should be done with that road that will work.
And…..we had another one at the other end of San Fran, about 1 hour ago!
WHAT can be done about this road?!! I hate being on it, but I have to be if I want to go home :/
They can make the road wider and have a guard rail or
More paramedics or sheriffs around
There is nothing wrong with the road: the problem is the drivers.
We had a horse hit and literally lost his leg and had to be shot in the head on the roadside. The problem is the drivers! We have tried to get new signage and have succeeded BUT residents don’t follow signs after a while. We all need more highway patrol to catch people in the act. Once ticketing starts, then people will care. It’s a sad sad truth.

Someone said.. “This road is getting dangerous”? Is not the road, it’s the people that don’t show this road respect. I drive this canyon road every day, twice a day and have to share it with fools that think they know better… well, they should see the crosses that line this road and realize… they dont.
That’s right Aileen! There’s nothing wrong with the “road”. It’s the idiots driving it that have no regard for others…….
CHP would be much more effective on San Fran instead of pulling people over on The Old Road and other west side roads for 5 mph over…yes, 5 over or running CARB checkpoints. Do the hard work and prevent serious injuries and deaths, not code enforcement and low hanging revenue generation.
The only time I have to use this road is every other Friday and Sunday and I say a prayer before I do.
Sucks to be you. Slow down. This looks like the straight stretch too.
Great Photo!
