[KHTS] – Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested a suspect on assault with a deadly weapon charges Monday after a confrontation in Saugus led to an alleged knife attack.
Salvador Ocampo, 21, of Saugus, was arrested Monday night around 10:30 p.m. in Santa Clarita, officials said.
Deputies received a call from an informant of a large group of people arguing in the street on the 26800 block of Camargo Drive, Sheriff’s Station officials said.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found a man reportedly confronting another man, officials said.
“The victim had gone to this house believing there was a person there who had stolen his bike,” said Sgt. Shoemaker of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Those two people reportedly began to fight in front of the house, and the suspect allegedly pulled a knife, officials said.
