The city of Santa Clarita invites residents to visit the new “Drive Focus Live” art exhibit at the First Floor Gallery at City Hall, available now through Monday, Dec. 12.
Fourteen pieces of artwork by local students, grade levels K-12, depict the dangers of unsafe and distracted driving. In accordance with the “Drive Focus Live” campaign, these pieces seek to remind the residents of Santa Clarita to not be distracted while driving.
Santa Clarita saw over 750 collisions in the first six months of 2015. This is an increase compared to the previous two years during the same time frame. While many collisions only involve damage to property, some are tragically irreparable.
Just a few seconds of distracted driving could be the difference between life and death.
Residents can decrease the number of collisions they are involved in by changing their driving behavior.
This is what the Drive Focus Live gallery hopes to communicate.
