1962 - Articles of incorporation filed for Golden State Memorial Hospital on Lyons Avenue [story]
Golden State Hospital

Three women were arrested for soliciting sex acts for money at three different Santa Clarita massage parlors Tuesday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.

Detectives from the Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Taskforce partnered with inspectors from the city of Santa Clarita and investigators from the California Employment Development Department to conduct investigations at the three Santa Clarita massage businesses.

The investigations, which included agents operating in an undercover capacity, were initiated in response to complaints from the community that commercial sex acts were being committed at some of the massage businesses.

At each of the three locations, deputies posing as customers were solicited by employees of the massage parlors to exchange money for sex acts.

During Tuesday’s operation, three adult females (one suspect from each location) were arrested for solicitation charges.

The names of the businesses and the suspects were not immediately released.

Inspectors from the city of Santa Clarita inspected the locations for building code violations.

Investigators from the state EDD reviewed the businesses for compliance with state employment regulations.

Task Force members checked the businesses for indicators related to either sex or labor trafficking.

The comprehensive investigation is ongoing.

    • This kind of joke only perpetuates stereotypes, and sometimes, racism. When you say something offensive, without thinking it might be offensive, it is time to check your privilege. *smh*

  24. Myk Halibut says:

So what were they going wrong.?

  25. This is NO JOKE and it’s not funny. I can site all sorts of specific reasons that it isn’t “harmless”, but let’s stick with bringing crime to every street corner in the SCV, near schools. Disease. The destruction of families. I have more. It’s not cute and it isn’t harmless. Reseda, and Northridge, all over the SFV are crawling with these places. They sell sex. Most of them. They get caught and move to another place and start over. Men go in there with the intention of this type of activity. They bring $cash$ tips… and when they are done, they give you an ice cold bottle of water. There are websites that share names and graphic details of this criminal enterprise. Don’t you wonder why the windows are dark or covered and it isn’t doing a brisk housewife business? They stay open past closing time for other businesses (restaurants and sometimes past bars).

  26. Richard says:

Awesome Town is Valencia! The zip codes for these places are in Canyon Country and Newhall. Just facts.

  27. Certified massage therapists do not work in these places.

    • Thank you!!! I am a Certified Massage Therapist here in California. You get what you pay for!!

This will always be associated with sex trafficking, sex trade industry. Has been for 1,000s of years.

  28. Somewhere around 25000 block of Peachland

  29. Craig Buelna says:

Just want to know does this story have a Happy ending ? ????

  34. Chris Cruz says:

  37. I wonder if they had a happy ending ???

  38. Tandy Bichon says:

China foot massage by army’s?oh no!

  39. Rachel Todd says:

Were they arrested before, or after these services were paid for? I’d hate to pay for something and not receive it.

  40. Kurt Buck says:

I’m sure the cops got off before arresting them. Who’s NAP was violated? Go find some real crime to chase down.

  41. Not so happy ending for them!

  42. Dave Murrell says:

Keith Elledge was this the jeep lady

  43. Jason Curtis dangggg

  44. Alex Snow says:

    SEX WORK IS HONEST LABOR.

  45. Tony Ressler says:

Best 2 dollars I ever spent!

  46. Carlos G. Castillo Jorge’s place ?

  47. Dylan John Robertson Calderon

  48. Noooooo stop it ?!!! This is all we have since we have no Redlight district, dance clubs or a huge AMC theater complex.. we have nothing here.

  49. Sonia Quiles now I know why u go there

  50. Nena Guzmán says:

…and just for safety reasons, young, and strong mens work there too??

  51. ? massage beaucoup good?

  52. GR says:

What if that’s the part you paid to get the message on? Just saying.

  53. Its about time, those rub and tugs are on every corner and no one seems to care as long as the families in the community don’t have to hear about it.

  54. There’s a massage parlor at every corner from Valencia to Canyon Country, what do you expect, we don’t have that many knotted up people out here.

  55. Jason Curtis says:

    I moved juuuuuust in time!!

  56. I’m positive one is by the liquor store on Valencia Blvd in the same center as the 99 cent store. That place has been there forever. Who really cares they aren’t hurting anyone. If a man chooses to go there and get those services it’s his choice. There’s more serious crime out here than this nonsense.

  57. This HARDly qualifies as news. See what I did there? Huh? Huh?

  58. Danica Riner says:

The sick jokes I see posted here by men are disgusting! A lot of these women are sex slaves. Don’t you get that. I hope you can emathize and think of your own kids and imagine if they had to do that for pay. I think the attitude would shift. SCV is not the same and its sad to see a nice town go so far down.

  59. David Tawney I knew it!

  60. Kristina Lee says:

    YemiAvanaKersti #awesometown

  61. Why can I never find these places until after they’ve been raided!?!?!???

  62. K says:

what about all the men who go there. They should be arrested too. This is a double standard and it’s really not a laughing matter. These men’s names should be posted so we can see who the other half of the crime is. Just make it medal and be done with it. Then the sex trafficking part will be harder to maintain with a good old burocracy running it. But before that, why are only the women arrested – get the men too.

  63. R says:

Trafficked sex workers are young, and would be advertised on the usual channels. These are middle-aged Chinese women offering “happy endings” in exchange for tips. You would have to shutdown every massage business in town to eradicate this kind of behavior. Furthermore not every person patronizing these places is engaged in this behavior. These women are victims but not in the way being alluded to here. Not a single human trafficking arrest will result from this.

  64. jerry says:

there massage went from 50 to 100 very quickly

  65. RENEE BRINKERHOFF says:

The 2nd comment, sounds like harmless fun, except I strongly believe 1 of them is here in the United States illegally and is using the money not to pay taxes but to pay for plastic surgery AFTER committing other crimes…Harmless? It’s your neighborhood not mine.
