The next Canyon Country Advisory Committee (CCAC) Meeting – a division of the Santa Clarita City Council – will be held Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.
The meeting will take place at the Mint Canyon Moose Family Center Banquet Room, 18000 Sierra Highway, Canyon Country, 91351 (on Sierra Highway 0.6 miles north of Soledad Canyon Road). Should the entrance to the Moose Lodge parking lot on Sierra Highway be blocked, the side parking lot entrance will be open.
This month’s agenda will include:
Preventing Hate & Prejudice, presented by Rick Eaton from Simon Wiesenthal Center.
Traffic Enforcement in Santa Clarita, presented by Sgt. Shoemaker, Los Angeles County Sheriff.
College of the Canyon’s 10th Year in Canyon Country, presented by Joan MacGregor.
City of Santa Clarita Traffic Control Center, presented by Brett Haddock.
Meeting will also include updates by CCAC Chair Alan Ferdman on the following:
The many proposed Water Rate Hikes.
River Rally.
The Lyons/Dockweiler Evironmental Impact Report (EIR) Meeting.
Ugly Solar Panels in Canyon Country.
Eminent Domain in Canyon Country.
Parking in Newhall.
Measure H and the SC Homeless Shelter .
