Saugus High School administrators sent students home early Wednesday afternoon after repairs on a water leak accidentally cut off the water supply to the school, according to Hart District officials.
“Crews working on a leak on the perimeter of campus damaged a pipe that resulted in the loss of water to the Saugus High School campus,” said Dave Caldwell, Wm. S. Hart Union High School District public information officer.
“For this reason, school administrators decided to release students shortly after noon,” Caldwell said.
The leak was repaired by 3 p.m.
“School will resume Thursday morning as usual,” he said.
