A suspect was taken into custody after reportedly stealing his father’s vehicle Thursday morning, according to officials at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“There was one adult male taken into custody,” said Shirley Miller, public information officer for the SCV Sheriff’s Station. “It was a vehicle reported stolen out of LAPD’s Foothill Division. The victim is the suspect’s father.”
Miller said the stolen vehicle was spotted by an LASD Parks Bureau sergeant. SCV sheriff’s deputies assisted in apprehending the suspect at the Chevron station on Soledad and Bouquet Canyon roads.
“The suspect also had a $40,000 warrant in the system,” Miller said.
The suspect was later transported and booked at the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
