This month, Agape Village is bringing back its Valentine’s pop-up flower shop, Love Grows Here: A Flower Shop for All. Through this fundraiser, clients will be creating handmade, half-dozen rose bouquets for the community, available for $20, with all proceeds supporting the Agape nonprofit program.
This project is made possible through generous flower donations from the local Costco and Trader Joe’s locations, allowing clients to design and assemble each bouquet with care and purpose. Everyone has the best time putting this pop-up shop together and it truly is a meaningful opportunity for them to practice job skills, teamwork and community engagement while spreading love throughout Santa Clarita.
Agape Village is a faith-based, community-centered program focused on empowering our clients through social and life skills development, job training, adaptive fitness, volunteer work and meaningful community involvement. It also operate two client-run businesses: the onsite coffee shop, Just Brew It, and the heat press business, Agape Designs, which help clients build confidence, independence and real-world work experience.
The hope is to continue building awareness, inclusion and support for adults with disabilities in the Santa Clarita Valley.
