Samuel Dixon Family Health Center, Inc. just celebrated their 16th Annual Rubber Ducky Festival on Oct. 13, which raised money to provide access to healthcare, dental and mental health services to those in need.

This year’s festival was held again at Bridgeport Park where hundreds of participants of all ages enjoyed a rock climbing wall, outdoor games and activities, face painting, balloon animals, a Duck-O-Ration booth, photos by Annd Action, and music by Island Passion. 38 vendors lined the park offering valuable information, services, product and giveaways to all participants.

Throughout the day thousands of rubber ducks raced down the man-made water giving hope to hundreds of supporters of the chance to win one of four grand prizes. There was also a special kid’s race for those who decorated their own duck at the Duck-O-Ration booth.

The success of this event would not be possible without the support of numerous individuals and organizations who donated their time and resources.
