Aug 9: Note by Note Showcase at The MAIN
Time: 7:00 p.m.

NOTE by NOTE is a music showcase presenting audiences with a variety of genres at this free evening of fun. Featured this month:

Janine Ayres is a Santa Clarita based singer/songwriter. Shortly after moving to Los Angeles, Janine went on tour with Let’s Active, opening several concerts for R.E.M. She also toured with 10,000 Maniacs playing bass guitar and singing backing vocals. Her music has been featured in films and TV shows. Last year the show NCIS featured a song that she played bass and sang backing vocals on.

Chances are, you’ve never heard of Joe Romersa, but you have heard his work. A drummer first, Joe recorded and toured in the 80s with Marc Tanner. He provided the drums and percussion on John Prine’s Grammy-winning album “The Missing Years.” Joe’s baritone voice was “discovered” in the early 90’s, and the popular L.A. band Soy Cowboy was formed.

Melanie Carroll-Dolci traveled out here to California from Kansas City, Missouri and attained her BFA in Music Composition at CalArts in 2014. She writes and produces original music from her bedroom studio, sometimes for scoring for short animations. In June 2017, she released her first music video called “Ode to Eyes” under the pseudonym “Bit Canary.”

As a teenager, Michael Stanton was the opening act for many top named performers, including many performances with the Grateful Dead as a soloist. As a Studio Singer and Musician, Michael sang and played on hundreds of TV Shows, Commercials, Records, and Films. Michael has appeared on many National Talk Shows, including three appearances on the Tonight Show, and two on Regis in the Morning.
