Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for the week of 07/20/2015 to 07/26/2015
An aggravated assault occurred near the 19300 block of Soledad Canyon Road. Three male Hispanic suspects and one female Hispanic suspect were seen “throwing gang signs” to a male Hispanic who was across the street. The victim ran across the street to confront the suspects. One of the suspects retrieved a revolver type handgun from his waistband and fired a round in the area of the victim. After the gunshot, all parties ran away and out of view. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.
A residential burglary occurred near the 27400 block of Plumwood Avenue. Person(s) unknown entered the victim’s locked garage by means unknown and stole air powered tools from within. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.
A petty theft occurred near the 19100 block of Avenue of the Oaks. Person(s) unknown entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole items from within. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.
A shoplifting occurred near the 26400 block of Carl Boyer Drive. One suspect was arrested for taking store items from the above location. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.

I shouldn’t be so rude, but people please wake up! SCV isn’t as safe as you think any longer. Please be aware of your surroundings when out and about.
