Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested a 66-year-old Castaic woman with three prior convictions for driving under the influence on suspicion of felony DUI on Tuesday, station officials reported Thursday.
Here’s more of the story from the station’s social media:
“On Tuesday, March 26, around 5:30 p.m., deputies responded to a traffic collision near Copperhill Drive and Agajanian Drive.
“When deputies made contact with the adult female driver, they smelled a strong odor of alcohol.
“The driver failed to pass field sobriety tests that were conducted. A preliminary breath test administered determined the suspect’s BAC level to be .15%.
“Using department resources, deputies discovered that the suspect had three prior convictions for DUI.
“Barbara Hanson, 66, of Castaic, was arrested on felony charges of driving under the influence of alcohol. Hanson was transported and booked at Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“Drinking and driving — the two don’t mix. Please help us keep the road safe for all and if you are with a friend or family member, and they are drinking alcohol at home or a restaurant, no matter how close they may live — do not let them get behind the wheel of a car. There are way too many other options.”

Why is this lady continually be allowed to drive? How long before she kills someone? Then the judges should be held accountable. Her license should be suspended indefinitely now after this 3rd time.
