In celebration of the upcoming Veterans Day holiday, the College of the Canyons Athletics department is inviting all U.S. veterans, active-duty and reserve military personnel to attend Saturday’s Cougar football game free of charge.

No. 7 College of the Canyons (6-2, 3-1) will host No. 14 Moorpark College (3-5, 2-2) in a meeting of two Southern California Football Association (SCFA) National Division, Northern League opponents.

Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Cougar Stadium.

The game will also be broadcast live on KHTS AM 1220. Listeners can access the live audio by clicking the ‘Listen Live’ located on the COC football home page, or by visiting www.hometownstation.com and clicking ‘Listen Live.’

All veterans, active-duty and reserve military personnel who show proper identification will be admitted into the game for free. The invite is also extended to the families of those individuals.

General admission tickets are $5. Kids 10 and under are free.

“We would like to show our appreciation for the tremendous amount of fan support we receive each season by inviting the community to come out and experience Cougar football,” said COC head football coach Ted Iacenda.

Saturday’s contest vs. Moorpark represents the final regular season home game for the Cougars.

Canyons will then travel to face Cerritos College at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14.
