Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for the Week of 08/10/15 – 08/16/2015
Here is the Zone 4 (Saugus) Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for last week:
A residential burglary occurred near the 29600 block of San Francisquito Canyon Road. It is unknown how the suspects made entry into the location. The suspects stole 2 revolvers and 2 rifles.
The victim reported a petty theft from an unlocked vehicle near the 28600 block of San Francisquito Canyon Road. The victim left his wallet in the center console of his unlocked vehicle. The suspect stole his wallet and used his credit cards.
A vehicle burglary was reported near the 24500 block of Rosette Lane. The suspect smashed the victim’s passenger side window and stole a brown purse, sunglasses, $70.00 in cash and a book bag.
There was a grand theft reported from the 22700 block of Derby Place. The victim left his vehicle unlocked in his driveway which contained his bank bag with $3,000 cash.
There was a burglary to a vehicle near the 22700 block of Derby Place. The suspect pried open the passenger window, entered the vehicle and stole 2 ratchet tie downs from the vehicle.
We have seen several thefts from vehicles in the last few weeks. Most of these incidents could have been avoided if the victim had locked their car doors and removed valuable items from their vehicles. Please remember to lock your car doors to avoid becoming a victim of a property crime.
