[KHTS] – Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help in finding an alleged child annoyance suspect.

Two victims filed reports in the Santa Clarita Valley recently, and deputies now believe they have photos of a suspect in at least one of the alleged incidents.

A victim reported that while pumping gas near Pico Canyon Road and The Old Road. She was approached by the man pictured, who was seen driving a later model black vehicle.

The suspect was described as approximately 25, 6 feet tall, with a thin build, according to Sheriff’s Station officials.

The suspect confronted the victim and asked if she was still in high school, according to a Sheriff’s Station statement.

The suspect reportedly following her and continued to stare.

The victim stated she felt very uncomfortable and scared as the male continued to follow her. The victim got into her vehicle and drove away.

Detectives were able to obtain surveillance photos taken from the gas station, which depicted the male who contacted the victim.

Detectives are also investigating another incident of an alleged child annoyance that occurred on Friday, at approximately 8:10 a.m.

This incident occurred in the area of Honby Street and Cedarcreek Street, in Canyon Country.

A 13-year-old girl reported she was approached by a male in a black vehicle, while walking to school.

The driver asked the 13-year-old girl if she needed a ride.

The girl turned around and began walking in the other direction.

The same driver then turned around his car and drove slowly past her again.

The 13-year-old victim then ran to her friend’s nearby home because she began to fear the vehicle and man following her. The vehicle then drove out of view.

At this time, both incidents are under active investigation.

Detectives are trying to determine if the incidents are related or if there is an additional suspect.

Anyone who recognizes the man in these photos or has any further information that can assist detectives in this investigation, are asked to contact Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Detective Campbell at 661-255-1121 or at dwcampbe@lasd.org

If you would like to remain anonymous, please call the LA Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
