More than 50 employees of Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary in Newhall and local residents have joined as Team Dignity LA to raise funds for critical ADA type 1 and type 2 diabetes research, education programs and advocacy programs.

Members of Team Dignity LA will complete a four-mile walk with Step Out: Valencia 2015 on Oct. 17 beginning at 8 a.m. at Bridgeport Park, 23520 Bridgeport Lane, Valencia. Please join the team or pledge your support by visiting the Team Dignity LA website or by calling 661.259.0800.

Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes is the signature fundraising walk of the American Diabetes Association. Formerly Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes and America’s Walk for Diabetes, the event has been taking place for more than 20 years and has raised more than $175,000,000 to Stop Diabetes! More than 100,000 participants from 95 walk events across the country came together last year to raise almost $24 million.
