 AMERICANA FEST

Come join us for the third annual Americana FEST, a great day of good music, food trucks, vendors, arts & crafts, and family fun.  Music for the day features our local acapella Men of Harmony, folk singers Trish Lester and Linda Geleris, and others.

The festival leads up to a special concert featuring Southern California’sWHISKEY SUNDAY, one of the country’s premiere Irish/Americana Bands.  The concert promises to be a foot stompin’, rockin’ time.  The special concert is made possible by Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

Festivities beginning at 4 pm.

NEWS FROM SHAKESPEARE

The Santa Clarita Shakespeare Festival has received a grant from the California Arts Council under the California Creative Communities program. The program supports collaborative projects that focus on creative placemaking to address community needs or priorities. SCSF is at the heart of a discussion to develop a Shared Arts Center in the Downtown Newhall area.  Also include in the discussions are Forge Ahead Arts, De Mi Suenos, The City of Santa Clarita, and individual artists.  The grant is to facilitate a planning process for a shared space for the core organizations, arts groups, individual artists, performance groups, and the community.  Be part of the discussion and planning process – contact davidstears@scshakespearefest.org .
