Thanks for providing this opportunity.
An amphitheater was supposed to be part of Bridgeport but we never got it. We also wanted a water feature we could enjoy as a community but the “river” that was established is really only in the condo area and not really something the community can enjoy as it was sold to us.
Is this “amphitheater” only for SCV or are you letting outside venues bring in stuff we don’t want here? How about open for schools, church’s and other LOCAL groups use it for their gatherings?
Don’t need it don’t want it. Streets are crowded enough with how much they’ve expanded our town .Stop giving outsiders reasons to come here and flood and trash our town. Our town doesn’t need to have everything for everyone’s needs. Sometimes its nice getting out of town for an event.
Do we really need this?
We’ve talked about the need for one for 30 years … now we can finally have it
Plant lots of trees …. an amphitheater under the stars like the Greek…not too big…Perfect venue size. ????????????
The community would benefit from this. We have an area at the far end Central Park that I believe is planned for an elaborate tennis center. I believe that area could be better used as an amphitheater.
The area is almost perfectly graded now and a stage could be built so people could sit on grassy slopes looking down towards the stage. The field would be designated as a non-cleat sports area to preserve the grass for seating and picnic use. In addition we have parking and experience with crowds at such events. Most events could be free and some would require a fee. There is such a place in Indianapolis that has wonderful summer concerts and shows. Check it out. https://www.indianapolissymphony.org/season/symphony-on-the-prairie
Presently, we have almost completed an amphitheater area at Placerita Canyon. However, it is not as large as what I believe the city is looking for.
I’d much rather see a new, clean, modern Senior Center and more classes like quilting, etc.
You’re already getting that. Now you’re getting 2 things.
None. No more congestion! We can’t drive on our streets now with all the problems caused by crazy drivers. Stop already!
Building it on the outskirts would help keep traffic down. Bouquet is pretty busy especially on weekends.
Anyway we can have an entrance from the other direction to Bouquet Park? Maybe from Golden Valley?
I am trying to think what is behind the hills of the park.
We need it, build it! But, alas! SC moves at a snail pace mode.
Please reconsider. The streets are already crowded.
I am strongly against this. City growing too fast without consideration quality of life! Let’s just perfect what we already have & slow down development..
