The family-friendly Gilchrist Farm in Bouquet Canyon will host its annual egg hunt and Spring Fling on Saturday, March 31.

There will also be pony rides, a petting zoo, a spring craft zone and wagon rides to enjoy the springtime beauty.

Gilchrist Farm Animal Care Class students will stage a butterfly release at noon.

Egg Hunt
Age-appropriate egg hunts are scheduled for 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Hunters will find fun-filled eggs of all types.

These interactive hunts will include farm-themed scavenger hunts.

Spring Fling
Babies, babies and more babies. Our petting zoo is bursting with babies during the spring fling. Join us to welcome the newest members of our farm family, including baby goats.

The petting zoo will feature chicks and baby goats galore. Included in the petting zoo admission is a special “Hug a Bunny” zone. All bunnies will be available for cuddles and pictures.

We’ll have chicken and turkey chicks. Join us in our chick zone to touch, feel and learn all about chicks.

Pony rides will be $5 (80 pounds and under), wagon rides $5 per rider (babes in arms free), petting zoo admission (including “Hug a Bunny”) $5 for kids (accompanying parents will be free of charge), crafts $5 per, print pictures $3 each.

Buy a Value Pack for $25 and receive $30 worth of activities.

Concessions will be available. Cash or credit cards will be accepted.

The Egg Hunt will be free with the purchase of a Value Pack or $3 if purchased alone.

Vendor Opportunities
Interested in becoming a vendor for the Spring Fling? We are now accepting applications from local vendors.

Fill out our vendor application form [here] to apply. Vendors must load in by 8 a.m. and may not load out until 5 p.m. The fee for the day is $40 payable upon confirmation (we’ll send you an invoice once you’ve been accepted as a vendor). Vendors provide all of their own tables, chairs and shade. Vendors for this event will be located on the cement near the petting zoo. It could be warm, cold, windy….come prepared.
