NORTHRIDGE, CA—CSUN Men’s Basketball’s season opener against Life Pacific on Friday at The Matadome will serve as a military appreciation game as all veterans and active service members with military ID will receive free admission along with one guest.
Tip-off for the Matadors’ season opener is set for 7:30 p.m.
A pre-game party will be held at The Matadome Spirit Plaza with music, free food and giveaways. The first 300 fans will receive a limited edition CSUN Basketball camouflage t-shirt. The color guard from the naval base in Pt. Mugu will present the flag for the game.
In addition, CSUN Athletics will host a military appreciation VIP reception in the Athletics Conference Room adjacent to the Matador Spirit Plaza at 6 p.m. Veterans interested in attending must register at the CSUN Veterans Resource Center website HERE.
The military appreciation game is part of CSUN’s week long “We love our Veterans Week Celebration.” The CSUN Men’s Basketball team will serve dinner and meet greet with veterans on Tuesday at 6 p.m. for a community pancake dinner. Veterans can RSVP for the dinner HERE.
